Reservoir Music Center opened it's doors in the Spring of 2006. Our mission is to serve the musical needs of our clientele, the Hudson Valley music community, and beyond. We've just celebrated our 5th anniversary and are looking forward to the next 5 years and more.
Owner, Fred Perry, is from a 3rd generation musical family, and was formerly a touring musician and founding member of the alt-country musical group, The Brooklyn Cowboys (www.brooklyncowboys.com). The band included members of The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Amazing Rhythm Aces, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, John Fogerty's touring band, BR-549, and Walter Egan, best known for his work with members of Fleetwood Mac, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, Spirit, Jackson Browne, Eminem, and his smash hits, "Magnet and Steel" and "Hot Summer Nights". The Brooklyn Cowboys released 3 CD's on Perry's Leaps Recordings, with great success.
Perry's mother and father were skilled musicians and leaders in the field of music education for over a half century. His brother, Richard, is one of the most successful record producers of all time, having garnered over 60 gold and platinum records. His brother, Andrew, has gone into the family business. Perry's 2 sons are record producers who live in California and also have a string of hit record credits.
